Something New...
When I Receive My Crown (3:10)
Lyrics by Bryan Fox/Music by John Coulter (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
The Bible says believers will receive crowns in heaven, not to keep but to give back, because only the King of Kings, Jesus, is worthy to wear them. How I long to gain the soul-winner's crown, and then have the privilege of laying it at His feet!
Without You (4:32)
Bryan Fox (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
I knew the Scripture well, "Without me you can do nothing." (John 15:5) But that didn't stop me from trying to live the Christian life on my own terms. This song is the story of my journey back to Jesus.
My Leaky Boat (3:34)
Lyrics by Bryan Fox/Music by Kevin Fox (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
The filling by the Spirit of God is not a one-time event to be sought after but rather a command to be obeyed. And because I am forgetful, ("I leak"), I need to turn over control to Him every day! The song is written in a mirthful way and the music is "jazzy", but the message is dead serious!
The Lord Heard My Cry (3:27)
Lyrics by Bryan Fox/Music by Kevin & Bryan Fox (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
String intro written by Dylan Bell
These words from Psalm 34 say we do not have to understand our sad circumstances in order to have peace of mind. The peace that Jesus gives amazingly always precedes our understanding! What a relief it was when I made that discovery!
I Just Prayed (3:07)
Lyrics by Bryan Fox/Music by Kevin Fox (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
I was sitting at the start of a concert, feeling tired after a restless night the day before, and then wouldn't you know it the choir began to sing a cantata I knew off by heart. So I tuned out the choir and 40 minutes later I had a poem. I never thought it could be put to music but Kevin did it, with an a capella accompaniment in six parts no less! I thank God for the spiritual insight, inspiration and determination He gave Kevin. It did not take 40 minutes!
Never Say Goodbye (5:41)
Lyrics by Bryan Fox/Music by Kevin Fox (Fox Vox Music/SOCAN)
Piano intro written by Dylan Bell
I had said too many goodbyes too many times, to my little children, to dear friends, to loved ones who had died. So this song had to be written. It is from my heart to yours.
